Nature panels

| Thanks to 'Small Change' funding, Artblock created a series of mixed media mural panels which are now situated outside Arboretum primary school, Derby. The panels were based on a nature theme, and incorporated children's artwork into the final design. A variety of materials were used to create the mural; paint, mosaic tiles, stained glass, clay relief, and wire & clay sculptures. | |

Diana Shepherd ran a series of art classes at Arboretum School; the
classes formed part of Arboretum School's 'Nature Week'. The finished
panels incorporated many of the children's images and sculptures accomplished
during these classes. Various 'nature' props were used during the classes
(beetles, moths, spiders, centipedes, and books), for the children to
examine and draw.
